Exciting New Nail Trend - Caviar Manicure

How exciting! I have just read a couple of posts introducing the Caviar Manicure by Ciate, so thought I'd do my own, so introducing this fab new 3D Nail polish . . .

For those of you who have not read about it yet. It's a new 3D 'Nail Kit' by Ciate, which contains 1 nail varnish and some little beads. These are £18 which I think is quite expensive. Keep reading for my cheapo version :) They aren't available to buy yet, but you can preorder here.

They are available in three colours so far. Black pearls, mother of pearl and Rainbow (so cute).

And how to apply :

So what do you think?

Now personally I couldn't pay £18 for these and wait for them, just look for ' caviar manicure ' on eBay ;) They are £1.99 plus £0.85 postage and are available in more colours! I have ordered the black just to see how I get on with them. I'll post the pic when I have done and hope it looks ok!

Sport Relief - Blogger Blackout - Please Donate

I hope everyone will join me in donating to Sport Relief, even if it's just £1! It's for such a good cause and something I feel passionate about. If I didn't have a family here, I would take my nursing skills over there and help first hand but I can't, but I can do the next best thing and donate!

OPI Holland Collection Review

Hey :) How are you all? Just a quick blog today to show you all the not so new OPI Holland Collection. Unfortunately I only own one nail varnish but I really love the whole collection.

This picture was the best I could find to show you all the names!

So the Holland Collection was bought out for Spring/Summer 2012 but has been out for a while. Personally I think they have done a really good job. There is a mixture of colours, all stunning! I especially lie that most of them, have a light glittery effect, almost like a glisten. It really gives it that added touch. My favourites have to be 'Did you 'ear about Van Gogh?' and 'I Have A Herring Problem' - really need to buy those!

I also would love to buy the Muppets Collection and Pirates of The Caribbean, their just a little too expensive for me to buy full sets! My Nicki set cost me £40 and their is more in the other sets.

I have 'Gouda Gouda Two Shoes' which when I saw it online I loved it, but when I got the bottle, I wasn't so keen. But when I put it on I fell in love again! It's a dark peachy colour, not pink yet not red either. Again it has that beautiful glisten which really sets it off. I am wearing two coats but it does look good with just one.

I found this website where you can buy Nail Varnish's a little cheaper than usual. Click Here!

Now I want to show you a few other swatches I found via google!

Hope you enjoyed :)

Viva Glam Nicki Review - Mac Lipstick

My second blog of the day, I'm on a roll! Now for those who have followed me for a while, you will know I'm a big Nicki fan but I still don't own Pink Friday Lipstick. I can only find it now on eBay for stupid prices, but bought this lipstick from Mac for £13.50!

I love the colour of it, have seen some people looking amazing in it, but it's not a shade for everyone! It went on nice and left my lips feeling moisturised but about half an hour after application, my boyfriend said it looked terrible! I looked in the mirror and it had all cracked. Does anyone now why? Would lipcote stop that from happening? Anyway I would recommend this just because it feels lovely going on and it is a lovely colour too!

Has anyone got both of Nicki's lipsticks? Any opinions?

Haul - Primark, New Look etc.

Hi lovelies! I did some shopping yesterday, I didn't get much and did intend to get more but my boyfriend decided to buy a new car yesterday and I paid his deposit for it (cos I'm a top girlfriend)! But I'll show you what I did get :) Oh and I don't know why most of my pictures have a pink tinge lol

Primark Blazer - Mint - £15
Really need the pink one as well - their lush!

Primark - White & Pink Shirt - £10

Primark - Brogues - £10. Mint Dolly Shoes - £5

Primark - Socks & Tights - £2.50 each

New Look - Mint & White Racer Back Vest Tops - £4.99 each

New Look - Pink, Black & White Bandeau Tops - £2.99 each

Boots - Rimmel Instant Tan £6. Sanctuary Hair & Face Masks - About £2 each but 3 for 2.

Hope you like! I picked up some other bits too but want to keep them for reviews. I also got my little boy some clothes and a CD :)

Have any of you been shopping recently?

Another MUA Haul - Swatches and Reviews

Ahh another haul from MUA and many more to come I'm sure! This time I ordered from the Superdrug instead of the MUA online shop. I bought mostly MUA products but I also bought some other bits I'll show at the end. I'm also going shopping the weekend and hoping to buy some BB cream if they have any left. Anyway enjoy . . .

First up the palettes. I bought three; Poptastic, Dusk til Dawn and Glitter Ball. I will also be purchasing the other palettes and I can't wait to try Heaven and Earth but they had sold out online! I'm yet to try these but I'm sure they will be great like the other eyeshadows. And I bought them for £3 each.

Next is the Matte Foundation for £2, i have lost my photo of the bottle sorry! This is colour 'Gentle Fawn', it is the darkest of the three foundations but as you can see still quite light for me. I really like the way it blends on and I usually use a mousse foundation. I'm going to start using this as a base as it doesn't quite give me the coverage I like, but if you like light coverage I would highly recommend. It really isn't bad for £2.

Now you know how I feel about the eyeshadows and these do not dissapoint. The first colour is a dark silver  (shade 3) and the second black (shade 20). The third color (shade 9) I thought was a blue colour but it turned out purple. It's nice but I will more than likely not be using it. These were £1 each.

Firstly, these lipglosses smell amazing, really sweet and edible! Another great purpose, apart from the top is broken on the red one and won't stay on properly. The red one is shade 2 and the pink one shade 3.

This liquid eyeliner is nice, brush is quite thin which I like. But it comes off quite easily. I think it's just the normal one though and you can buy a waterproof one? Maybe that one stays on better. Probably will be sticking to my mac one.

And that was all of my MUA products this time. I also bought some Kleenex facial cloths, because they were 99p and I was stupid and thought they were wet wipes but they wasn't. I haven't tried these yet, but their soft is all I can say lol.

Lastly I bought this 2true lip and cheek tint. I bought it because it was £1.99 and wanted to find an equivalent to the Benefit one. I've tried to swatch it and it didn't come out very good. It doesn't really compare to Benefit  and looks quite cheap in comparison really.

Hope you enjoyed my little haul, and can't wait to write more for you all. And yes I will be buying more MUA products. I think I have an addiction . . .

Oh and do you guys like Hauls, like big ones?

March 2012 Glossy Box - Harrods Limited Edition

Yes it's that time again! My first thoughts was again a little disappointing, I saw shower gel AGAIN and I really wanted a Burberry lipstick that I've seen in other blog posts. However after a closer inspection, I felt a bit better in what I had received.

Products:

  • Valentino - Valentina Eau De Parfum - I was a little gutted as let's face it you can get these samples for free but I tried it and I love it. I seriously may treat myself to this and it just happens to be payday on Friday :) I love the smell obviously, and it lasted most of the day. I couldn't stop smelling my wrist.
  • Molton Brown - Vitalising Vitamin AB+C Bath & Shower - Yet another boring over priced shower gel. Smell was nice, lasted after I had my shower and made my skin feel nice. Nothing fancy really!
  • SKII - Skin Signature -  I loved this! I have been on the look out for a good moisturiser for a while, if only I could afford £127 to buy the full sized product. I liked the packaging, and it made my skin feel so soft. My make-up glided over nicely over it and can safely say I felt moisturised.
  • Lancome - Hypnose Drama Mascara - I liked this too, it does what it says on the tin basically. But as you lot know I always wear false eyelashes so I'm not too fussed about mascaras. I used it without lashes to see what it was like. It was good, it lifted my eyelashes and made them a little fuller and obviously black.
  • Clarins - Extra Firming Body Cream - I really like Clarins products, but my bank balance doesn't. I recieved two Clarins creams in my last glossybox and one in this one. This is a firming cream, and i'll take all the help I can get in that department! I'm yet to see results but as a cream it is nice and nourishing.
  • Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil - I really liked this , it made my skin feel amazing. You put it on your face and add some water to turn the oil milky, then wash it off. It is £28.00 for a full bottle, I don't think that's too expensive but I don't know if I could pay that myself for one.

All in all not a bad box, I still want a Burberry lipstick though! They also included a little promo magazine/booklet from Harrods discussing the latest in skincare, cosmetics and fragrance. They also tell you what creams and skincare routines you should be using for your age.

I also got an email from Glossybox a few days ago about a lovely little competition they are running. You can win the chance to meet the founder of Caudalie at a VIP event and enjoy consultations from beauty experts who will answer your beauty related questions. Click to Enter!

You can buy any of the products featured in this blog at Harrods and subscribe to Glossybox here

Hope you enjoyed today's blog, I'd love to know what you got :)

11 Questions Tag

Hello again, and yes I've had a little revamp, what do you think?

First of all a thank you to Mollie for tagging me in her post - check her out! Super excited to be doing this, it's the first post I've not done not relating to beauty I think. Not that I've done many!

Here are the rules:
1. Each person must post eleven things about themselves on their blog
2. Answer the questions the tagger has set for you plus create eleven questions for the people you tag to answer
3. Choose eleven people and link them in your post
4. Go to their page and tell them
5. No tag backs
6. You legitimately have to tag

My 11 Facts:

1. I luurvve anything pink obviously!
2. I'm a secret geek - I love old movies especially from the 50's.
3. I love driving - it's because I have a fast car but get so angry when people get in my way!
4. I'm training to be a nurse, qualify in September and want to be an Emergency nurse.
5. I have a 3 year old son.
6. I love to read books.
7. I am obsessed with vampires - too obsessed for my age!
8. I wear false eyelashes every day.
9. I also have very long hair extensions.
10. I'm a community assistant on Fantasy Shopper.
11. I have realised I'm actually quite boring after thinking of these facts!

1.What is your favourite item in your wardrobe?
This is pathetic but I have a serious thing for designer tights at the moment so them. I normally wear them with a skater dress or bodycon skirt.

2.What has been your favourite year and why?
Probably have to say 2009. It is when I officially grew up. I had my son, restarted uni and got engaged in Paris :)

3. Who is your number one role model?
Apart from my mom because she is amazing and so strong, I would pick Nicki Minaj. She is crazy and isn't afraid to show off who she is. I think she is fantastic at what she does and doesn't let nothing get in her way. More girls should be like her!

4. What are your top three favourite films?
Simply Irrisistable, Gentleman Prefer Blondes and Legally Blonde! And yes I am blonde :)

5. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Too many honestly - I need to count!
OK, 47 - I'm so intrigued to see how many you guys have now.

6. What is your dream job?
I absolutely love what I do now! I have the most amazing job in the world. Who else can say they save and change peoples lives on a daily basis.

7. What is one word you would use to describe your style?
Swaggerific! ;)

8. What colour is your bedroom?
Pink, what other colour did you expect?

9. Tea, coffee or hot chocolate?
HC but i drink more tea!

10. What is your favourite picture and why? Put it in the blog post if you can!
This is my little man. It was took about 6 months ago but I love it. It looks like he is posing and yes he is naked but he is just chilling watching TV

11. Describe your favourite memory of you and a parent.
This is quite random and it's about my Grandad. He has just passed away so I have so many random things going around my head. But sometimes when I used to visit my nan and grandad, it was before I was 10. My grandad used to get us two bowls and we would wash our feet by the fire and it felt so nice! Lol, I know it sounds mad! But now, even though I'm 22, I would give anything to do that again with him.

My Questions:

1. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?
2. Where is your favourite place to be?
3. If you had £1000, what would you do with it?
4. What is your favourite make-up item that you own?
5. How did you meet your best friend?
6. What is your favourite type of blog post to read and why?
7. What is the funniest thing that has happened to you?
8. Have a crush on someone that you shouldn't?
9. What do you do when your home alone?
10. Where was your last holiday?
11. What is your favourite ever song and why?

So now my tags;

Enjoy beautiful ladies :)
